Built awesome like all the other PKS knives. I used to carry a Condor Bushlore for EDC. I choice this for its light weight design for everyday wear. I wear this knife daily from the woods, job site, and at home. Also use it in the kitchen, garden, and grill for some food prep since the blade is thinner than my other knives. Sheath is really firm and wet formed nicely to the knife. It has a thinner handle than my other PKS knives, but that may cut down on the weight, which is good. I have large hands and it fits just fine. I honestly don't even notice any weight on my hip when I am wearing this. I wear it on my belt when fishing and duck hunting in chest waders. The streamline and deep fit into the sheath makes it hardly noticeable in the waders. I switch to my Scorpion or Mountaineer when I am doing other hunting or hiking. I’m overly empresses with my purchase of this knife. Sharp enough to shave with right out of the box. You can feel the quality when you first put your hands on it. I would by again and recommend to anyone.
Knife is very sharp(shaving sharp) and well done.
As for me the handle is to small in thickness for my hand. But it fits the lady perfect, hence she took it and loves it for food prep and her chores lol.. I love the design but like to see it with thicker handle.i would get another. I still play with it and performance it's outstanding. Definitely fits the name.
Fit & finish on this knife are excellent, with emphasis on the function it is designed for.
Very comfortable in the hand & extremely sharp. The Kephart design has stayed around for good reason...
The handle scales add beauty to the function & form making it a favorite go-to outdoor tool I will keep at my side. Lastly, the leather sheath is high quality & made to last as well.

Think about this. Bolt cutters to cut chainlink fence that borders the Interstate if your trapped,someone detroyes a a bridge and you have a 4-wheel drive truck and you need to get home. I'm 81 yrs. old , retired Locomotive Engr. for CSX And taught Boy Scouts as a Scoutmaster for 4 yrs. I hold FFl license and a CCP. I'm in good shape and think out of box. This is a small round cutting board that fits nicely into my bush pot. Lightweight, portable and just enough when needing a hard surface to cut on.
