Anything to make the coffee better!!
Bill, Las Vegas
I for the last 4+ years been using coffee filters to pre-filter my water..it was a tedious process to say the least. I find it enormously amusing that a grown man can be so enthusiastic about a bag. It has to be one of my most unexpected NEED. The simplistic nature of this millbank bag boggles my mind. Glad I found about this product. I Highly recommend this bag..a well made necessity for anyone looking to save money & their filters.
I've not had a chance to go hiking yet, but the bag appears well made. I've run it under the faucet and it drains well. I can't wait to try it in the field!
Good stuff! Its half the size of my original millbank bag, I like the smaller size better its easier to handle.
One of my concerns was if the inner diameter would allow the regular Grayle water filter to slip inside between uses. It fits snugly, which is good! Make sure to break in the filter bags before you need them in the field. They need to fully saturated before they filter properly. One thing I would like to see on these is a stitched line near the top which indicates what water level to start catching the filtered water after the debris on the outside should be washed down & off the filter media. Other than that, these bags are excellent. I have 2 to use in tandem while filtering. This also allows for continuous filtering by using one to filter while filling the other. Two ways/levels of filtering. Good job guys!
