Suunto Global Navigator Compass MC-2G

This full-featured compass lets you take accurate bearings with a sighting notch and mirror, plus its patented Global needle works anywhere on earth.

  • Base plate features the magnifying lens, straight edge, and inch markings for accurate map reading
  • Declination scale is adjustable to account for the difference between magnetic and true North; adjustment key is included on a lanyard
  • Easy-grip bezel reads in 2-degree increments and features a luminous outer ring for low-light reading
  • 1:25,000 1:50,000 scale

There has never been a compass that could function flawlessly in all zones of the world--until now! Compass accuracy outside of limited latitudes can be flawed as changes in the magnetic field affect the position of the needle. Suunto's Global compass needle solves this problem with patented structural innovation. The needle and magnet are built as separate units functioning independently from each other so that the inclination of the magnetic field cannot tilt the needle.

WOW $95, I gotta tell you that scared me. I am prior service and am used to the bomb proof compas we were issued. I am impressed with bot the quality and functionality of this product. It might not be quite as strong, time will tell, it is however very well made and feels quite ruged. I truly appreciate the ability to adjust for declination, one less calculation to make when you might find yourself in a precarious situation having to orient your map.

So you plan on doing some hiking or maybe some orienteering… do yourself a huge favor and invest in a quality compass. The Suunto MC-2G is that compass, quality and accuracy that you can depend on because when you are miles from nowhere a cheaper compass won’t get you home!

almost what we wanted

compass has everything we were looking for except the booklet is typed in tiny lettering and we cant read it so of no help. it was one of the important reasons we ordered this one
