Tentsmiths and Pathfinder Survival have worked together to come up with the Pathfinder Scout Tarp, a hybridized version of the very old George Tent which itself was an evolution of the Tarp Tent. The intent in each version is to utilize the least amount of fabric to produce the most amount of shelter. The shape of the Pathfinder Scout Tarp makes it more weatherproof than a regular tarp tent.
With a footprint 6′ deep and 8′ wide when lifted to 4’ 6” at its peak, this 8 pound 6 ounce tarp is more than enough for one person and plenty of gear or two lightly padded adults to sleep comfortably. The vestibule shaped frontispiece keeps the tarp tensioned if at least one wing is left staked. With a pyramidal shape the wind will have a pretty tough time trying to knock this thing down. The opening overlaps and toggles inside and out. Erection options include a reinforced peak area for a pole and external loop for a lifting line if desired. We’ve even placed loops spread over the seams so all kinds of guylines could be attached. Without a captive peak the tarp may be laid out flat to cover a huge amount of space.
— A bit of yesterday’s designs, old timey oilskin cotton fabric and our attention to detail make this tarp even Nessmuk would appreciate!
This is for the Tarp only. Does not include in poles, guylines, or stakes.

Think about what you would need to Survive if you were caught away from home. Self reliance Outfitters has good equipment and Reasonably priced. The best thing to do is Think,Read and plan for what if? Respectly Larry L. Farwell
Think about this. Bolt cutters to cut chainlink fence that borders the Interstate if your trapped, someone detroyes a a bridge and you have a 4-wheel drive truck and you need to get home. I'm 81 yrs. old , retired Locomotive Engr. for CSX And taught Boy Scouts as a Scoutmaster for 4 yrs. I hold FFl license and a CCP. I'm in good shape and think out of box. I have a lot of your Equip. because it works if you know what you need to survive. I also have your book on Bushcraft. Respectly L,L. Farwell
This is a small round cutting board that fits nicely into my bush pot. Lightweight, portable and just enough when needing a hard surface to cut on.
