Pathfinder M34 "Scounteen" - Do I love it?

This product is well made and can be used as an actual canteen, if you are into the whole not dying of thirst thingy, but it really shines as a(n) (extra large) "hip" flask, which it nails that task better than any I have ever seen. Easy to fill and holds enough to NOT be virtually pointless like many annoying-to-fill-tiny-flasks, plus a cup for sharing.
Speaking of sharing (is caring) I bought two and gave one as a gift which was well received.

Love the size and the metal cap!

I believe it or not don’t use this for whiskey. I love it as a water bottle and cup set for winter days for day hikes because I can keep it warm and it keeps me warm when the water is warm. Also it eliminates me needing a pack. Usually I carry a pack of some kind into the woods mostly because of water. If it wasn’t for water I’d put pretty much everything I need on a day hike in my pockets. There is only two things I could see that would be possible improvements. 1. Is that the bottle itself could hold a little more liquid, maybe 25oz if it was made a little taller but the same oval dimensions. The only other thing is that if I boil water in it (which is also my intention) it would be awesome to keep boiling hot liquid in it without having to let it simmer down before putting the cap on it.

Getting Home

Think about this. Bolt cutters to cut chainlink fence that borders the Interstate if your trapped,someone detroyes a a bridge and you have a 4-wheel drive truck and you need to get home. I'm 81 yrs. old , retired Locomotive Engr. for CSX And taught Boy Scouts as a Scoutmaster for 4 yrs. I hold FFl license and a CCP. I'm in good shape and think out of box. I have a lot of your Equip. because it works if you know what you need to survive. I also have your book on Bushcraft. Respectly L,L. Farwell

Small but useful

This is a small round cutting board that fits nicely into my bush pot. Lightweight, portable and just enough when needing a hard surface to cut on.
