The PKS Grizzly is a Survival Tool. This knife is built for heavy tasks like batoning, prying bark off a downed tree, beaver chewing saplings and chopping. The width of the blade makes this an excellent knife for splitting wood. This is the workhorse around camp.

This knife fits great in my hand. Built like a tank and definitely able to split wood!
For the price this knife is worth more.
The LBC knife holster is also very nice both in function and sight

I missed out on these the past two years, finally got one , I’m not sure why this one is not in the lineup they make all the time , I have the mountaineer and it’s great but the profile of the grizzly is a better design IMO , the knife is THICK , but does pretty good , not the best for food prep or a hunting knife but could work in a pinch . I got the badger claw outfitters sheath it’s well made but the belt loop only excepts belts up to 2 inches and the knife sits lower than the the other sheath offered and the knife sits deeper in the sheath as well . All in all I wouldn’t hesitate to depend on this knife with my life , it seems very well made and stand up to a lot of abuse including a grizzly attack.

Think about this. Bolt cutters to cut chainlink fence that borders the Interstate if your trapped,someone detroyes a a bridge and you have a 4-wheel drive truck and you need to get home. I'm 81 yrs. old , retired Locomotive Engr. for CSX And taught Boy Scouts as a Scoutmaster for 4 yrs. I hold FFl license and a CCP. I'm in good shape and think out of box. This is a small round cutting board that fits nicely into my bush pot. Lightweight, portable and just enough when needing a hard surface to cut on.
