It actually works I'm a building contractor and always around wood and splinters. I waited a bit to rate this product until I actually had to use it and worked really well the splinter raised out of my finger where it could be pulled out with a pair of tweezers. It's much easier to carry around than a peice of bacon fat. I would recommened it to anyone who plays in the woods or works with wood to aid in getting a splinter out.
