This book is a definite read if you travel the backcountry, camp, hike or explore the wilderness. Great information on first aide from simple to some major injuries that one can experience or encounter while in the wilderness. Also great section on plant identification with color pictures. I work in a Trauma hospital and found this book to be very well written and a great resource. Highly recommend.
👍🏻
Solid, morepackable than wilderness first responder hardcover. Valuable, functional knowledge.
Nice book for pre hike/camp preparation and on hand reference. Sturdy construction that looks and feels like it will handle the outdoors well. Easy to read and understand. I bought this book to be used as a reference book but found a lot of good prep info in it. It's good for beginners and experience outdoor folks.
My son took it on his backpacking trip to Dolly Sides Wilderness Area in WV. He used the book as a guide to make a pretty extensive First Aid Kit and took the book along ... Just in case.
There is A LOT of excellent advice and tips ... Especially if you are caught out without anything but nature to help in that moment.
