Frequently Asked Questions: Pathfinder Stainless Steel 64oz. Water Bottle
Have questions? We have the answers. Our stainless steel water bottles are designed to be durable, long-lasting, and convenient for outdoor enthusiasts, hikers, and survivalists.
How Long Will a 64 Oz. Does the Bottle Last Outdoors?
Fill your large stainless steel water bottle with water and head out for a day (or week) of outdoor adventuring. One bottle contains most of your daily required fluid intake. You can also refill the bottle from natural sources that supply clean drinking water.
Why Is a Widemouth Bottle Essential Survival Gear?
We designed our Pathfinder stainless steel bottle for everything from everyday hydration to days spent in the woods. The wide mouth is a crucial feature of water bottles in the outdoor survival world: This feature lets you collect water from streams and rivers. You can also collect snow for melting by scooping the mouth of the bottle into fresh snow.
How Long Can You Leave Water in a Stainless Steel Water Bottle?
You can leave water in the container for more than a day with a good-quality stainless steel bottle and still drink it. The Pathfinder 64oz. bottle is made from 18/8 stainless steel, the most popular grade for top-quality water bottles. Combined with its tight seal, this quality helps to keep bacteria and other microorganisms out of the bottle.
Why Can’t You Use Double-Walled Vacuum Insulation Water Bottles for Boiling Water?
The Pathfinder Bottle is single-walled, which is a must-have feature for bushcrafting, camping, and long treks into the great unknown. If you run into an emergency where you need drinkable water, you can collect water from natural sources, boil it to kill harmful bacteria, and stay alive.
However, a double-walled bottle isn’t practical for boiling water because they usually a vacuum seal between the two walls to insulate the liquid inside. Because you need to reach boiling when your mission is water purification, you can’t have double-wall vacuum insulation. Your water won’t reach a high enough temperature for safe drinking.

As advertised- just what I wanted
Stainless Steel 64oz. Bottle
Love the 64oz bottle. Very robust and use it daily wherever I go
This is a solid bottle and when I did the leak test with the cap, not a drop leaked. Put it on the camp stove at work to make hot water for kopiko or hot cocoa and they both performed perfectly. Everyone at work was marveling at how easy it was to get hot cocoa in the middle of a 28 degree night! I’m pretty sure someone else is online now buying one!
