2026 Basic Survival Required Equipment List
- Camping is Primitive (Tent/Hammock) and Walk-In Only
- Food is not provided, so bring adequate food and snacks
- Electrolyte drink mixes are recommended (Gatorade, Powerade, or Jello)
- Port-a-Potties are located 400 yards from Base Camp and serve as the only means of restroom facilities

Expendables:
- Qty 1 - 1" roll gorilla tape
- Qty 1 - 100' roll #36 tarred Bankline
- Qty 1 - 100' roll 550 paracord
- Qty 1 or 2 - 100% cotton orange Shemagh
- Qty 1 - 3xl 100% cotton orange t-shirt
- Qty 2 - 6 mil 55-gallon drum liner
Gear:
- Backpack – 35-40 Liters
- Notebook & Pencils
- Analog Watch
- Pair of Leather Gloves
- Belt Knife – (Carbon Steel, Full-Tang, NON-Coated with a 90-degree spine and at least 4.25” blade)
- Sak or multi tool
- Folding saw (Silky Saw or Bahco)
- Cold Steel Shovel
- Ferro rod (1/2”x6” rod)
- Canvas Sail Needle
- Headlamp with spare batteries or charging brick
- Emergency tarp
- Qty 6 - ABS tent stakes
- Mil spec poncho
- Poncho Liner or swagman roll
- Accordion sleep pad
- Stainless steel 32oz Water Bottle and Nesting cup (2 bottles, 1 cup)
- Baseplate compass (preferably a Sunnto MC2)

- Clothes appropriate for weather conditions and spare socks.
- Snacks and MRE style food & snacks that you need (no meals are provided)
- Prescription meds only
- Bug Repellent (seasonal)
You may camp with a Tent, and you are not limited to what you may bring. We recommend leaving coolers in vehicles and taking items out as needed during breaks as they are given.
