Use modern Firearms in a traditional manner and create the perfect woodland kit with gear proven over the last 200 years.

Perquisite: Students must be at least 18 years of age. And ready for some walking with gear in a colder weather environment.

    •    Bed Sleeve applications for multiple Camp Sets

    •    Shelter Configurations with Oil Cloth or Canvas Tarps

    •    Camp Cooking Gear that will be Multifunctional and Light weight

    •    Food Stores to carry and Woodsman’s Pantry System

    •    Safe Storage and Processing of Game and Fish

    •    Fire Starting in sustainable fashion by building a Tinder Box and Flint and Steel use

    •    Types of Fire Lays and Pits for Multiple Shelter scenarios

    •    Building Cook Fires and Fire Management Practices

    •    Rub Cloth

    •    Using Topo Maps to Identify Hunting and Trapping areas

    •    Scouting and Recording for additional map information

    •    Advantages of Shotguns over rifles for Meat acquisition.

    •    Using a SS 12GA as a Modern Muzzleloader (Spent Shells and Inserts)

    •   Steel Trap theory and small game trapping

Each class is instructed by highly trained and professional outdoor/wilderness instructors. Each instructor teaches the Pathfinder School system and is authorized by Dave Canterbury. Instructors, including Dave Canterbury, can vary class to class.
