The word basic is a metaphor. You will learn a lot of skills at this class. The instructors from Dave all the way down to the on the job training instructors are very knowledgeable and do everything in their power to help you, as long as you don’t give up on yourself. They are all very down to earth people. Now to the physical part of the class, when they tell you to be in shape they mean be in shape. Andrew was my instructor and has tons of knowledge he draws from. It was a great experience and looking forward to returning, as I’ll be working my way to becoming an instructor.
Strobe-GPS-Compass Pouch
This is my second pouch that I have bought. The first one came with the fire kit. I like that it fits my military compass that I have used for over 30 years. It fits the compass and pace beads. I wear it on my leather belt and not with molle straps. The pouch is small and the plastic buckle closure is better than regular brass snaps that the military compass/first aid pouch has. I may invest in another pouch in the near future as I keep up dating my gear. Do recommend for the price and the quality.
I received this pouch with my fire making kit and I'm very pleased with it, it is made of top notch material and is put together nicely it fits my headlamp and extra batteries perfectly! I would definitely recommend this pouch!

Think about this. Bolt cutters to cut chainlink fence that borders the Interstate if your trapped,someone detroyes a a bridge and you have a 4-wheel drive truck and you need to get home. I'm 81 yrs. old , retired Locomotive Engr. for CSX And taught Boy Scouts as a Scoutmaster for 4 yrs. I hold FFl license and a CCP. I'm in good shape and think out of box. This is a small round cutting board that fits nicely into my bush pot. Lightweight, portable and just enough when needing a hard surface to cut on.
