Use only low-sudsing, down-specific detergent and run an extra rinse cycle to make sure all soap is removed. We recommend placing your quilt in a large commercial-style laundry bag to protect it from sharp edges or hot spots in the washer and dryer. Always use a front-loading, tumble-style washer on a gentle cycle with cold water. Avoid agitator-style machines. Dry on low heat until completely dry, using dryer balls to break up clumps and restore fluff. Never use high heat, and never store your quilt if any dampness remains.

Q: How do I know when my down product needs to be cleaned?
A: It’s time to wash your quilt or garment when body oils, hair oils, or lotions start to build up. Signs include reduced loft, a heavier feel, or visible discoloration of the fabric. Cleaning at this stage will bring back warmth and performance.
