Unlike traditional cast iron, this carbon steel skillet requires no seasoning and is scratch-resistant, however we recommend that you wipe it down with a thin layer of oil or fat after cleaning before storing. It is carbon steel and will oxidize over time if not oiled. - See Skillet Care below for optimum performance.

Avoid harsh scrubbing:Never use steel wool or other abrasive scrubbing pads as they can strip away the pan's seasoning.

Minimal soap:Use only a tiny amount of dish soap to clean, as too much can remove the seasoning.

Dry immediately:Always dry the pan completely after washing to prevent rusting.
