Built for heavy tasks like batoning, prying bark off a downed tree, beaver chewing saplings and chopping. The width of the blade makes this an excellent knife for splitting wood. This is the workhorse around camp. The shape of the handle provides a means to easily choke up on the blade and is comfortable in the hand.

Will do nicely when at hunting camp
Knife came packaged nicely and looks fantastic. Blade is flawless. Was also impressed with the quality of the sheath.

This is a ‘put it in the cart and go’ item. Don’t worry about the price. If you like the feel & utility of a bigger knife don’t mess around with the others get the Mountaineer.
