Well worth the wait.

I have been on the fence about purchasing this knife ever since it was first released. I have so many knives from just about every knife company you can imagine and a few customs. So, purchasing yet another knife seemed a bit much at this point. I finally pulled the trigger on it though (much to my wife's dismay.) and I have to say I'm very impressed with this knife. The fit and finish is beautiful, it arrived hair popping sharp, and I have never worked with a blade this size that can carve wood so effortlessly. Smooth as silk! Even more so than my Mora Kansbol. That to me was really impressive! If you're looking for a blade that can fit that specific niche of wood working/bushcraft/woodcraft, you will not be disappointed. Throws sparks off the spine like a champ with flint, spine is nice and sharp and throws sparks off a ferro rod with ease, and the spine is plenty sharp to use as a scraper on wood to get fine shavings or smooth out any rough edges on whatever it is you're carving. This is going to be my new go to for the majority of my outdoor adventures. As for a sheath, I decided to go with one called "The Colony" from Patriot Leather. It will be another 6 - 8 weeks before I receive it, but I will leave a review about it on their website if anyone is considering one of their sheaths.

Awesome you can’t say enough about the craftsmanship, built to use not sit on a shelf or in your safe. I’m buying the scorpion next.

Good for field dressing and quartering in the field (deer and bear)

Is this a good knife for field dressing and quartering deer/bear in the field?
