I put this s@“t on everything.
It even fixed the relationship with my wife!
No just kidding but it’s good on gear!
Fair price I have not had a chance to try it out yet. just got it to have on hand when I need it.
I strongly prefer the the individual pucks myself. They seems to be easier to work with as they aren't as dry and this style is. It's handy for treating a bag and maybe some leather. But overall I recommend the pucks. You can always melt it down into one of the 2oz tins sold here. I have a few I done that way and they are awesome, just be careful when melting the wax, if the heat is too high you'll cook off the oils they put in it.
I always keep a small tin or paper packet of fixing wax in my kit and my everyday carry bag, but I find this larger variant in the deodorant-style applicator to be perfect for my shop. I use it to treat all my wooden tool handles and all my axes. For antique axes, Condors, and Swedish forged axes this applicator is great for getting a protective layer of wax into all the nooks and crannies of the metal, including around the eye and the wedge. This stick also works great for treating large areas of leather and for making hasty waxed canvas. I will definitely buy it again.
