Candle Making - Master Class

Students will learn the basics of making light sources in the field or home using natural materials such as beeswax and animal bases fats/oils. Class will begin with a brief discussion on the importance of candling through the ages and continue into hands on creation of their own light sources.

Projects:

• Beeswax candle
• Tallow candle

Resources Student must bring:

• Camp Stove or Alcohol Stove with Stand

Students will need a place to allow freshly made candle to cool and solidify for retrieval later in day.
