Medicinal Plant Seminar
(2 day, 1 Night Course)
This seminar will focus on the medicinal uses of 20 different plant species and 10 tree species with discussions on field expedient usage and herbal preparations and harvest for longer term storage and consumption. We will also cover the application of Herbal preparations and creation of Salves, Tinctures, and Ointments. A camera may be beneficial for photographing plants and a notebook and pencil are a must have for the abundance of notes you'll want in addition to the recommended 10 C's we use in our Basic Survival class.
SPECIAL NOTE: If you sign-up for the Wilderness First Aid on June 8th & 9th and complete both courses; then you will receive the next level certification as a Wilderness First Responder.

IMPORTANT: This class will require hikes of 2+ miles at a time to learn medicinal trees and plants in possibly very muddy and uneven while carrying your gear. Port-a-Pots are located approximately 400 yards from the base camp near the parking area. Water is available from jugs always located in Base Camp.
If you suffer from a medical condition or chronic pain, please bring your prescribed medicines with you. If you have recently undergone surgery or a hospital stay within the last 30 days, DO NOT attempt this course until you have had more time to recuperate.
Any student under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Must be 16 to attend this course, no children under age 16 are allowed to attend.
