Basic flint and steel

I purchased this for some friends who are novice woodsmen.. this is a basic kit that still throws decent Sparks to ignite char-cloth.
It's a good beginners steel kit.

Good value flint and steel set

Very good set for the price. Flint had nice sharp edges and created sparks easily. Steel will last a life time. Sparked easy with flint and mahogany obsidian. Lampwick easily catches sparks and is a great addition to the kit.

Works great!

Great little kid, nice compact size, fits in your pocket very easily and works flawlessly!!! One of my favorite ways to start a campfire.

works well

I have not started a fire with this yet, however I did test the sparking ability and it was fine. A word of warning to newbies. This is not a ferro rod so d'ont expect a shower of sparks. I'll try and repost when I use it.

flint and steel

First attempt at fire starting with flint and steel. Definitely a learning curve. This set is fun to get started with.
